Hemoptysis are proud to announce that the song “M.O.D.” from their debut full length album  “Misanthropic Slaughter”, has won the award for best Metal / Hardcore song at the 11th annual Independent Music Awards. This years winners were selected by a panel of Industry professionals including “Ozzy” Osbourne, and Kieth Richards, among others.

Hemoptysis is also still in the running to receive The Independent Music Awards’ Vox Pop honors, the fan-determined portion of The IMAs.

    Arizona thrashers HEMOPTYSIS have been nominated for this year’s Independent Music Awards. This marks the band’s second consecutive year being nominated and this year HEMOPTYSIS holds the honor of receiving two nominations in two categories. The band’s critically acclaimed album, Misanthropic Slaughter is up for Best Metal/Hardcore Album and the track “M.O.D.” (the video for which can be seen at this location) is up for Best Metal/Hardcore Song. This year’s panel of judges includes Ozzy Osbourne, Tom Waits, members of GWAR, Keith Richards and many more. In addition to the industry-selected winners, fans have until Friday, July 20th to vote for the fan-selected winners at this location.

          Masaki w/new Jackson guitarHemoptysis guitarist and front man Masaki Murashita has done a series of nine demonstration videos for Providence Cables, all of which can be viewed at www.providence.jp. In addition to an introductory piece, a total of eight videos are included with Murashita discussing the original concepts, ideas, and the characteristics of each specific model.

          English and Japanese language versions of the videos are available, the latter of which will be placed in music instrument stores nationwide in Japan this spring. Some of the acclaimed artists that have used the guitar cables include Carl Verheyen, Larry Carlton, Michael Landau, and Ramon Goose.
