March 9, 2010 - Hemoptysis Release Official 'Shadow of
Death' Music Video -
Phoenix, AZ – March 9, 2010 – As if the sonic barrage
from the juggernaut known as Hemoptysis wasnft enough to pound you into
submission, enter Shadow of Death – the video!
This marks the bandfs debut full production music video, released in time
to promote their first ever SXSW Music Festival Showcase (9:30PM March 19, 2010)
at Austinfs SOHO Lounge.
Filmed and produced by the Phoenix-based Big Shot Studios, the shoot took
place in an abandoned school on the Gila River Indian Reservation, Southeast of
Phoenix. Co-production credits go to Desert Core Management and Hemoptysis. It
also features guitarist, Chris Cannella of Autumnfs End and N17.
Written by front man Masaki Murashita, the song deals with senseless wars in
which citizens are forced to fight or die for. The video portrays these citizens
as prisoners of war, subjected to the bombardment of constant media coverage. It
begs to ask when will this end?
Originally recorded and released on the Hemoptysis debut EP, gWho
Needs A Shepherd?,hShadow of Death was re-recorded/produced
by Ryan Greene (Megadeth, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick), mastered by George Marino
(Sterling Sound), then released as a single.
PureGrainAudio.com
have been kind enough to host the video on their website. With 30,000+ monthly visitors, they are committed to continuously offer new, exciting, and unique
music content.

-Hemoptysis Release Ryan-Greene-Produced 'Shadow of Death'-
Desert Core metal band, Hemoptysis, release remixed
CD single, 'Shadow of Death', produced by Ryan Greene.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Press Release) Aug 02, 2009 – Still riding high off the
popularity of their 5 song debut EP, "Who Needs A Shepherd?", the
Phoenix Music Awards 'Metal Band of the Year' have enlisted the services of
legendary producer, Ryan Greene to rework the single, "Shadow of
Death". Known for his work with Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick,
Megadeth, and many others, Ryan Greene pushed Hemoptysis to their creative
limits and beyond. The single was also mastered by George Marino (Metallica,
Iron Maiden, Sepultura, and more).
Hailing from Tempe, Arizona, Hemoptysis have steadily made a name for
themselves, brilliantly combining old school Thrash and modern Death Metal.
Strong live performances and increased radio airplay have garnered
much industry attention, leading to the band's recent signing with Desert
Core Management & Consulting,
Supporting the new release with a full schedule, Hemoptysis will be guest
performers at the Back From Ashes video release party on August 8, 2009.
The band will also be in support of Obituary and GoatWhore on
September 4, 2009, and will of course be a part of the festivities
surrounding the Los Angeles / Phoenix Music Awards on November 12, 2009 at
the Music Box Theater in Hollywood.
July 12, 2009 - Interview
with Slavewriter6 and MUEN Magazine!-
Masaki had an
opportunity to be interviewed by Slavewriter6.
Check it out!
Hemoptysis needs a name for the beast pictured in our CD artwork and our new
band symbol so we are having a contest! Send us an e-mail at contest@hemoptysismetal.com
with your name and tell us what you think we should name the beast. The winner
of the contest will be chosen by the band and the winner will receive a copy
of our CD, "Who Needs a Shepherd?," a Hemoptysis T-shirt, Hemoptysis
poster and a Hemoptysis sticker. The contest ends on August 31st. The winner
will be announced on September 1st, 2009.
Information on the beast: The beast is derived from our song and album title,
"Who Needs a Shepherd?" At the beginning of the song the priest
talks about how Christians are weak and how they need a shepherd like Jesus to
help them cope with life. He says that Christians are not the king of beasts,
but are in fact the feast of the king of beasts.
The beast character was designed to be a cross between nature's king of beasts
(a lion) and Satan (the spiritual king of beasts in Christian belief according
to the priest at the beginning of the song). The artwork for the album shows
the beast devouring Jesus with countless skulls of devoured Christians in the
background.
